Ugh... it's only week 1 of second semester, and I am SWAMPED with homework...
It sucks. Dx
My Modern Lit teacher assigned us this thing called an "ISearch" paper. Basically, you do extensive research on this subject via internet without the use of Wikipedia (because our school seems to believe that there aren't any resources that are true on that site), a reason as to why you chose your topic, and three interviews. I don't even know enough people to justify any sort of interviewing. I mean, for Graphic Art and the effects on society, I can interview my art teacher, and my aunt. I don't even know if e-mailing my aunt would work, since she's probably working, and/or in too much pain to check her e-mail these days. But we'll see...
Oh, and the paper has to be 8-10 pages. I guess it's better than the old paper format, though, where it had to be 15 pages long. I'm just not looking forward to the presentation. It has to be 20 minutes long! I can't even stay focused for that long!
Then in my math class, she's got us working Trig already. For some reason, none of it makes sense this year. We worked on it for the better half of second semester last school year, and I did pretty damn awesome then. Now, I don't know my way around tangents, and the like, unless if you want me to figure out how to find the sides with only side a and angle C known...
I'm already dreading German 2. I wanted to drop it (I'm never going to use it anyway), but the head of the foreign language department told me that many universities require a minimum of two years, and that since I committed to it, I should stay with it. Well, if it weren't for my idiotic counselor making me take all six classes, that wouldn't be a problem. She thought I wanted to be a full-time student, meaning I would be taking six classes, when I specifically told her I wanted to only take the bare-minimum left for me to graduate (PE, and an English class), plus another math class, since I actually want to improve my skills, since I SUCK at math.
My drawing class has switched to a Social Problems class. It's pretty fun, actually. On the first day, our teacher (who was my Government teacher last semester), gave us an article about these rugby players that had crashed in the Andes and resorted to canabalism just to stay alive. It was funny how she introduced it, though. She put a couple words on the board: Communion Forgiveness Chocolate and Wine Constipation Rugby Uruguay And maybe a couple more. But we had to figure out what the article was going to be about. All of us were just like "WTF?" xD
I already have some work for that class. I hope it doesn't go downhill like my psychology class two years ago. My teacher was awesome, but his voice put me to sleep. It really sucked. That's why most of my notes from that class were covered with doodles. Sure, they were always neat and precise, but it was crowded in sketches and thoughts.
My eighth hour is my Drawing Advanced class now, which is strangely when my Government class had been. It's so weird, since I go to the same rooms as last semester, just switched in my schedule! But it's awesome, 'cause I got Ren in there with me! It's strange, though. One of our teacher's painting classes is that hour, too, since she doesn't have many slots (she travels between our sister school and our own). But we get to mingle with them, which one of the people in Painting is a friend of ours.
I like having art last, though. It's a good way to unwind. Oh, and it's right next to an exit! I get to blissfully run out to Dalndox's car instead of trying to murder physically incompetent underclassmen who believe it's fine to walk straight into people and stand in the middle of hallways to have their conversations, and then walking out into the cold across a large parking lot. Now it's just a couple steps, and I'm into the warmth of my lovey's car, without any of that negative energy!
Well, wish me luck on my ISearch. It's worth a major part of our grade, so I can't blow it off (like I usually do when papers disinterest my muse). It's not due until the end of the year, but I still have checks during the year to make sure I'm progressing fine. It's going to suck... but hopefully I can get it done with.
Ciao! And sorry for any punctuation/grammar mistakes. I've tried correcting them as I'm going, but it's difficult. I have a bandage on my thumb, and it makes it really hard to type. xD
