dear coworkers,
please stop fighting with each other... you're both beyond old enough to know better. neither of you are in charge of anyone so please stop it with the "we boss each other around" crap. just do your job, you both are fully trained and i know you can do it... however one of you never choses to do it right. it doesn't matter who worked at a vet or whatever, it's not rocket science to medicate an animal; just follow the damn instructions and shut up. ALL of us in this department are allowed to medicate so both of you need to stop acting like you are the only one who is able to do this. being selfish and power crazy is only hurting the animals. once again neither of you are in charge of anyone! STOP IT!
and now to one of you in particular... please just quit. stop mentioning 500 times a day how you're gonna quit and just do it. it's obvious you stopped caring about doing the job right long ago. you just do whatever you want whenever you feel like it and it messes everything up. we have to do things on a set schedule! instead of doing things on the list that REALLY need to get done you pick something else and add it. LOL NO. you waste you entire shift doing something that JUST got done. you have been told 100 times to stop doing that.
and another thing- god damn it! stop acting like you're the boss. you are not in charge of anyone! your passive aggressive notes are ridiculous. you insist on isolating animals that are not sick and get extremely rude when they get moved back and then isolate them again... um HELLO! STOP IT. it's totally normal for rats to sneeze every now and then, it doesn't mean they have a respiratory infection. OMFG. we are all so sick of you.
i know you hate "taking orders" from people younger than you (well pretty much anyone but mostly younger people) but the truth is both of us in charge worked VERY hard to get this position. i can't tell you how many times i have stayed late scrubbing floors on my hands and knees or busting my hands working on loc-lines. when is the last time you worked on a tank? you've never worked on a loc-line in your life! you want to be in charge? you need to show maturity and work ethic. i have not seen any of that in months.
now to both of you- please stop putting me in the middle of your fight. i can only moderate it so much before i want to strangle you all. just say what you need to say to me in private and then let it go. don't speak to each other unless it's about getting the job done. i need you guys to put it aside and work together, you don't have to become BFFs. if you're going to bicker the whole time and not get work done i'm going to send you both home. i can't magically wave a fish net and make it all better between you two so stop. i'm not going to pass messages like "coworker x says you're not doing Y right" um, it's not your job to tell her how it's done. you are both old enough to cut this kindergarten bull s**t. i'm not going to sit in the middle of this and neither is anyone else!
there is no reason this work environment needs to be tense. i don't want to have to ever yell at anyone again for such juvenile and idiotic crap. it's a total waste of time to have to sit people down and discuss petty issues. there is a job to be done and group therapy is not part of it.
