Title: the bird in black


i walk threw a desert. the desert's ground was hard and cracked and more appeared as i walked. i couldnt see mountains, roads, or poeple in any direction when i stopped to wipe the sweat ooff my forehead. then i see that bird. the bird in black standing there staring at me. i look back into its eternal eyes. it looks back with an emotionless face and then spreads its wings and perches its self on my shoulder,it seemed to be home there on my shoulder. i coughed out a dry sigh and said " i have no food to offer you bird, i barely have some for myself." the bird stayed pearched on his shoulder as though i was his master. i coughed out another sigh and continued to walk. it seemed different guiding threw the desert with the crow. its like i knew were to go, like ive seen it from every possible angle. it wasnt long after that that i found a road. tears of joy came to my eyes and a smile spread from ear to ear on my face. i walked down the road to see were it lead. i didnt care were it lead to as long as it wasnt this wretched desert. i looked at the crow more closely and saw that it's bones were showing threw its feathers wich had been turned gray from mud and clumps of feathers were scabbs showed probably from a fight to get food. i would make sure he got some food before i did. after a day and a half of walking on the road we finally made it to a city. when we saw it i jumped for joy and he cawed happily. i walked into the city happily being joined by the bird in black.
