There is an eighth tribe of demons, the tribe of Treason, made up of humans so lost or sadistic as to join forces with the dark legions that seek to plunge the world into darkness. Claiming someone is a member of the eighth tribe is the most grivous insult one can manage, and an accusation none take lightly. To actually join this tribe a human must seek one of the more civilized tribes, and undertake an initiation right shrouded in mystery. All any humans know about it is that it is a torturous and unholy experience that leaves its victims deserving of being called demons. Members of the tribe of treason are often called disciples of the sin who's rite they passed. each tribe has a unique rite attached to it.
Lust: the rite of fidelity. Demons of lust have no disciples who have not once felt the touch of love, however all of their disciples know what it is to lose their love. The rite of fidelity is one that requires those who under take it to slay their love, and present their head to the demon they wish to be a disciple of. if passed, the demon provides her disciple a kiss that provides her disciple a small taste of her demonic powers. If failed, the demon drains the would-be disciple's soul, as per her normal way of dealing with humans.
Gluttony: the rite of hunger. Demons of gluttony merely require their disciples embrace their sin to join the tribe of treason. A demon of gluttony presents its would-be disciple with another human, and requires that their disciple then devour the flesh of this human. Failure to pass the rite generally makes both humans a meal for the demon.
Envy: the right of achievement. Demons of Ency have a twisted rite that requires their disciples slay their closest friend, without marring their appearance. then, the demons perfom a gruesome parody of surgery, grafting the slayed person's skin onto the would-be disciple, usually leaving scars all over the person's body, and along the lines of their face, where the different layers of grafted skin meet up. If the disciple does mar their victim, then the same wound is exacted on the disciple after they have finished "becoming" their fallen friend.
Pride: the demons of pride are the only one without a rite to gain disciples, even one as basic as that of the demons of wrath. The way that they attack, and reproduce through their victims is the only thing that ammounts to an initiation of a human into their tribe, but it leaves the bodies completely ravaged and lifeless. Some people joking call this the rite of humility, as there is little that could be considered a more complete and whole defeat than one at the dozens of hands of pride.
Sloth: the rite of inaction. Demons of sloth have a rite that requires very little extra effort on their part. The demons take their would-be disciples, and impales each of their hands on the tips of the demon's massive hooked horns. The human then has to witness a dozen of the demons attacks on the human race, while doing nothing other than not bleeding or starving to death.
Greed: the rite of possesion. Demons of greed turn their disciples into possesions. Using their power, the demons make a golden palm-print on their disciples' chest, over their hearts. then, the demon rips the thin golden plate free. the disciple is given a day not to bleed to death from the relatively shallow wound, without seeking the help of any other humans. after that relatively simple task, they must return to the demon, who then takes the same palm-print, heated in a furnace, and puts it back on the disciple's chest. Once the brand has fused to the human's chest, the demon also takes two gold horns, heated similarly and fuses them to the humans forehead. Demons of greed are the only ones who often require their disciples undergo their rite again, as a test of their continued service.
Wrath: rite of fury. The demons of wrath, being one of the two most bestial tribes, does not actually set a rite out before its would-be disciples. Instead, any human able to withstand an ongoing attack of the demons of wrath is then treated as one of them. Only one man is reported to have ever passed their rite, the number of demons he reportedly slayed ranges from two dozen, to more than fifty. whatever the number is suggested as, the idea that one man could possibly kill multiple demons of wrath at all is frightening in itself.

The things that live in my head.
I have little ideas in my head. Many of them are fed by my overactive imagination and grow and take on a life of their own. Usually they die off after a while, but I'm getting kinda tired of that. Feel free to comment, it builds their character.
