Taran; Beam up Passengers?

As soon as Taran heard the tone in n**'s voice, he knew things were serious. And her choosing the SS Reliance over the Nerissa Altsoba was... odd. And drastic measures that wouldn't be helped by Broden?

DOS turned to Captain Taran. "Sir, if we are helping them, I can have them beamed up immediately." He had, of course, muted the conversation and turned toward Taran for that, so that the screen would not show what he said, either, in case anyone read lips.

"Yes, we're helping." Taran replied. DOS turned the volume back on.

"We're going to beam you all aboard." Taran said. "Hold on one moment." He turned back to DOS. "I've heard of beaming before. Can you beam them directly to the bridge?"

"Yes, Sir." DOS replied. "Whenever they're ready."

"You guys ready?" Taran asked.

Rose: Familiar Sidekick Feelings

When n** addressed Taran on his ship, Rose became perterbed. Once again, she was getting those familiar sidekick feelings. Of not knowing the grand plan, knowing that her usefulness would only be dependent on how well she was able to protect others....

Rose sighed, but then she caught what n** said about Broden not being of much help, and the Nerissa not being a good choice for this. Taran asked them if they'd like to be beamed aboard, and Rose just nodded.

"n**, promise me that as soon as we get aboard, you're going to tell me what you're thinking." Rose demanded. Being crowned Queen had left it's mark, and Rose refused to play the silent sidekick again. She crossed her arms under her breasts and waited to be beamed aboard.
