I knew she was going to go to a new home today. And then the old lady called. They'd just lost their dog and were looking for a new puppy. They have a farm with lots of animals and she'll even take her to denali center [at my work!] several days a week. So my puppy gets to do Companions Inc after all! So, they just took my dog. But, they left me their names, number, and address and a standing invitation to visit her whenever I want. And the lady said she's taking her to Denali Center so I can hang with her at work.
They were so sweet about taking her! I'm so happy she found a good home.
But...I can't help but be sad and cry a little. She was my dog and she took care of me so well! Ryan, I'm so sorry, but Aria found a new home today. I'm sorry you didn't get to play with her one last time...but maybe we can go to their house together sometime and play with her. ^^
...And now my family is discussing my sadness over my dog being given away. stare Now I'm even weaker in their eyes, because I got sad over a dog. But she knew she was going and she wanted me to be ok with it. So she went with them happily. She really liked them and when the old lady asked for my final permission, I looked at Aria who looked at me and grinned, and I couldn't help but grin and say, "Yes, you can take her."
