At work a few days ago, I had an interesting conversation with her about how nowadays humans are extremely dependent on technology. There are two issues that I do need to address.

Number One: Technology is Amazing!
Yes, technology is probably the greatest invention known to mankind. Without technology we would be unable to fix or cure the bodies of those who are sick (humans and animals of all kinds), reach for the moon or even communicate. Technology is advancing every single day and with that said, we can advance further into the future. Who knows? Maybe one day we'll be able to travel to another planet and get to live there. That would be awesome!
Cell phones are pretty cool despite the fact they are practically mini computers in your hands. They are helpful in dire situations *-texting and driving is not a dire situation. If it's that damn important, people could wait until the car is in park (not at a red light) and turned off before using their phones. I am also proud to say I do not text and drive; however, if I do need to answer my phone or make a call, I use my hands free device*.

Number Two: Technology Sucks!
Technology might be amazing in it's own little ways, but it also sucks a big one. Remember the days when you actually used a land line (remember those commercials for 10-10-220 lol )? I remember those days. When I was in elementary and middle school I use to get on the phone and talk for hours on end to my friends. My parents couldn't get on the phone at all. When I had something important to say or when my friends did, we called each other on the land line and said what we had to say. Nowadays, texting or Facebooking our thoughts to each other is completely impersonal. I feel like we have lost a reality and the meaning behind being personal with those we love and those are are great friends with. Along with cell phones, the Internet is awesome to have -let's say you don't have a GPS, but your sell phone has Mapquest on it. Your phone saves the day! But, if you witness a car collision, please put your phone down to help some people out. Don't go straight to Facebook or Twatter...I mean Twitter...and post a status that tells the whole world about what you witnessed. Also, I don't particularly care that you are taking a s**t while posting Twats...I mean Tweets...from you toilet.

Speaking of Facebook/Twatter...I mean Twitter:
If you don't want your boss or someone else in particular to know that you are playing hooky or you talk s**t about them on Facebook or Twitter, please don't post anything. This is why you're wondering why you have no job. It's not just called common flippin' sense, but it's also called keeping your work and personal life separate. The two don't mix very well.
