AANTIE-D (the ANTIE droid) was waiting for the apporaching Rose just inside the parlor. ANTIE's main systems kept a continuous uplink with ANTIE-D, and informed her that Rose was practically at the door. Then she heard it, the quick buzzing sound and an audible exclamation as someone tripped the front door electric laser alarm. Then there was a small thud.

Flinging open the front door, ANTIE-D yelled, "Gotch-"

What she saw, though, was not what was expected. A man was holding Rose, who seemed unconsicous. The man was down on one knee, head hung down and gasping. Probably from pain.

ANTIE-D stood her ground, blocking entrance through the front door. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" she demanded.

The man looked up, and ANTIE's database downstairs took the picture broadcasted by ANTIE'D's visual recognition and ran it thorugh software, trying to find the identity of the man before he could answer.

"A... a friend." the man huffed, trying to regain his balance and stand. "Sh- she saved my life." he said, back on two legs. "And she needs help. She- I mean, isn't this her home?" he asked, quite befuddled now.

ANTIE-D paused, processing. His facial expressions and body language were congruant with telling the truth. She backed into the house. ANTIE had not yet found a match, but that could take hours, with her large database.

"Yes. Come in." ANTIE-D answered, and Taran sighed, almost stumbling into the house. The gwees followed, though they kept looking at ANTIE-D.

'It's not human.' Jaa said in Taran's head.
'It is a droid. It's main computer is far below the house.' added Tuli.

"Shouldn't..." Taran said, panting a bit. "Shouldn't we take her downstairs?"

ANTIE'D was surprised, as that had been unexpected for him to know. However... "Yes, that would be best."

They walked into the kitchen, down into the cellar, and Taran was starting to question if going to the basement was a good idea, since it seemed like an empty wine cellar, when ANTIE-D unlocked and opened the hidden door, and led him down into the bunker below. The door locked closed behind Taran and the gwees.

After the long walk down the flights of stairs, it opened up into the bunker, and Taran was taken aback. It was a well maintained labratory, library, and who knew what else. ANTIE-D led him to the far side of the open floor, to a door.

"There's a bed in there, lay her down on it. I am looking up possible issues and will conduct a full scan of her in just a moment."

Taran laid her down, and reluctantly, left the room, letting ANTIE-D take care of Rose. The door closed after him. Wearily, as the electric shock had quite disturbed his system, Taran walked over to a beanbag, and collapsed into it. Tuli watched over him, and Jaa hovered near the door where Rose had been taken.
