a little brown book
finding the life of Alexander Shaw, a kind of serial story.
Edward had tried a summon on his own, and it had worked, to an extent- but he could not send the demon away.
And he was wasting away from it.

Edward was the oldest of us, and yet not even thirty. He was still a bachelor over the objections of his family, and it came to me that I knew the reason why when he brought us to see the demon.

Sitting- no sprawled in the carefully scribed red circle in Edward's bedroom was the single most attractive man I had ever seen. Silken silver hair, that pooled around his body, and parted to reveal a long lean line of exotically tan flesh that captivated the eyes. Eyes... dear god, his eyes. Deeper than night, and blacker than any jet I'd ever seen. When he smiled, I would have walked into his arms gladly, except for his horns.

He was a demon, and they reminded me of that. The horns were curved back towards his head like a rams. The were silver, and delicately flushed red, like a seashell along the ridges. Staring at them, I was able to focus on the other things that marked him as inhuman, the blunt curving tail, and pointed ears- and at a second look, his beautiful dark eyes had no pupils.

"Dear God." Swore Henry. "Edward, you fool how did you end up with an incubus in your bedroom?"
