crying . I have some bad news. For any who haven't heard and for the people who may sympathize like me, I must report a hanous tragedy. Gatorland....as horrible a place as it was to the animals that inhabited it, was still a sanctuary of sorts for lots of Florida fauna, and now it is no more. Survivng many threats of government over throwing and shutting down, it has been taken down by mother nature herself. Florida wild fire struck the sunshine state attraction Nov. 6th, 2006.
2 gators and 2 snakes died in the incident. Tears are shed on on my expense for such a loss. I am deeply disheartened by this twist of fate. Moment of scilence...and a prayer that it will one day reopen it's gates to families and floridas animals alike. Such a horrible thing to happen so close to Christmas. And yes, it's Christmas, not X-mas. I'm sick and tired of hearing people in real life and on Gaia refering to it as X-Mas. I don't have it in my siggy any more, but I am a Christian and I am damn proud of it, and no one is going to take my Christmas away from me. =-P. In fact, I think this year I'm going to hang a star on my door this year instead of the traditional wreath. Just hammer it in even further that it's the glorious birth of baby Jesus that Christmas is about....not santa and rudolf, and frosty (and barbie). The one and only. The first and the last. But I do have a funny story about a Christmas song I heard once, that had this real Gospel flare to it. Like, to the point where you couldn't make out some of the lyrics 'cause they had too much soul to them. And the song was about Jesus. But the girl had such an African American sound to her voice, that it sounded like she was saying Jiggles. (the su sounded like gl). And so one day I asked my dad, 'cause he was listening to it with me, who the heck is Jiggles. And he's like, she's not singin' Jiggles, she's singin' Jesus. And I'm oh, well, that makes sense now. Yeah....So, I can't wait for Christmas. Made my first batch of cookies already....watched them build the Christmas display at the store, with glee....updated my profile. I'm gettin' in the mood. I haven't bought any Christmas presents yet though. I have no idea what to get everyone. Plus I got more people to buy for this year...which means a smaller budget. I will gladly except cash to cover the tab. =-). Yeay! I may be getting my first credit card. My aunt says she's tired of me having no credit, she figures I'm old enough and responsible enough to get one and now she's willing to cosign on one for me. Time to hit the mall. =-). Man.....I'm pissed off... they're holding out my paycheck for me on thanksgiving. We don't get paid until the day after, cause we're closed on thanksgiving. Well, anyway, I'm gonna get going...not much more to say.
