"Welcome.....Dear Brother." The words rang across the halls like a fish travelling through a stream. The words hit Auron heavily and he found his hands shaking. The hooded man now revealed to be his brother picked up on this and sneered "Trembling are we? Poor thing maybe you should have stayed in the wilderness where you belong. This is no place for a foul demon such as yourself."
Auron laughed madly "A demon am I? What does that make you then a demon trying to fit in with humans and even fighting for their church. tsk tsk tsk Mother would be so ashamed if she could see you now."
The man threw off his cloak and it was indeed Ulrick and he was garbed in armor that would rival even a mighty warlords armory. Silver bracers and greaves emblazoned with the churches crest rested on his forearms and shins. A long skirt of chain mail rested on his shouldrs hanging down to his legs kept in place by a belt riddled with magnificent gems of every size, cut and color.
He unbelted the sword that hung from the belt and laid it off to the side near a bag from which he drew black boiled leather gloves and a helm made of the purest steel reflecting the sun in a stream of light around him.
"So Auron do you plan to fight me in that or do you have armor in the bag that girl is carrying? No doubt you tricked and enslaved her but fear not young lady I will set you free."
Sarah dropped the bags and stared at Ulrick with cold eyes filled with hate "You....you b*****d your the one who destroyed my village, my family, my friends you took it all away ten years ago. I've been waiting since then waiting for the opportunity to get my revenge and now I finally have it. You speak of freeing me from Auron's trickery there is not we are bound together by the same goal and bound by the fellowship two travellers develop on the road.
So don't talk to me in that sweet sincere voice when I know your soul is darker than the most lecherous priest in the very church you serve."
Auron looked over at her "Nice speech...a little long winded but over all pretty good." Sarah chuckled and mock curtsied to him "Oh thank you kind sir now shall we get rid of yon confused demon?"
Auron grinned his wolfish teeth flashing in the light as he ran head-first into the battle that would decide who was stronger him or Ulrick. As he took the first step to the church Ulrick merely stood there and whispered "So the fates have pitted two brothers against each other when they could have existed together very well.."Then looking up he said aloud "I have no choice"
And in a matter of a second had ran next to Auron and delivered a punishing blow knocking Auron clear off the steps and to the stone cobbled street below.
The world was spinning in Aurons eyes and he slowly left conciousness the last thing he heard was Sarah screaming for him to get up and also in the back of his mind his mother crying as she watched her two sons clash torn apart by her love for both of them "Sorry Mother it can't be helped."
