DarkFire Alchemist's log book.
This is the documents of my life. This is how I live, what I learn...and what I'll do to protect the ones I care for.
...log entry date: 3:2:07
Location: Mike’s House
Time: 6:30 p.m.

“Gah, this is impossible!” I said, shoving my hands deep into my hair. I’ve been searching for the door that leads to Kingdom Hearts, but I’ve come up with nothing every time. I’ve even gone underground looking for the damned thing.

“Don’t give up.” Roxas said to me. He had come to my house to help me find the door. Apparently Rika, Risa, and Riku were searching all over Isle de Gambino for the Door. I didn’t want this key blade. I hated it, because wherever I went, Heartless seemed to pop up. The city is starting to get regulated attacks from them. Luckily Roxas has his own key blades to fight them off.

“This is nigh impossible. We’ve been searching for over a month now, and still nothing!” I shouted, smashing my head on the table.

“Calm down,” Roxas said calmly, “shouting to someone two feet away isn’t going to help.”

“Let’s hear your ide-” My phone rang when I was in mid-sentence. I picked it up. “Hello?”

“…Is this Mike?” a deep voice said.

“Who wants to know?” I said, making sure to tell them as little as possible.

“I know your Nobody, Roxas, is there with you.” I tensed up as he spoke those words. How’d he know Roxas was here, and how’d he know he was my Nobody? “Tell him if he wants to see Rika, Riku, and Risa ever again, he’ll come to the Great Wall of Gambino.” There was a click and he hung up.

“…It’s about Rika, Riku, and Risa, isn’t it.” Roxas said, standing up.

“Yeah…” I said standing up next to him, “Should I call the Calista and the Nagakuras?”

“Yeah.” He said

I sent all three of them a voice clip that said “Your Nobodies are in danger. Meet me and Roxas at the Great Wall of Gambino.”

Roxas started walking towards the wall, when I called out to him. “How about we take my ride?”

“What did you have in mind?” he asked.

I rolled up the garage door. Inside was a black corvette, a low hovering vehicle, and a motorcycle called Fenrir. Roxas looked at them for a moment before saying, “Let’s take the bike.”

In just a few moments we were cruising down a dirt road, heading towards the wall. As we got closer, I kept looking around for Riku, Risa, and Rika, but I couldn’t see any signs of them. Something just didn’t feel right. Soon I saw two figures on the wall itself. It was Mayuno and Miome. I pulled up and got off the bike.

“Wow, nice ride Mike!” Mayuno said, practically drooling on it.

“Yeah, it’s pretty cool!” Miome said, mimicking Mayuno.

We all had a good laugh when Riku, Rika, and Risa walked up to us.

“I thought you were in trouble?” Roxas said, confused

“We thought you were in trouble.” Rika said.

We all stood there quietly when I picked up a noise from behind the wall. I stood there a moment, then said “Come on out Calista.”

Calista jumped over the wall and landed near us. In a flash, Mayuno, Miome, and Calista were talking to Riku, Risa, and Rika. Roxas and I just stood there and wondered who called us.

“It could be a trap,” Roxas said, “and if that’s the case we’re sitting ducks.”

“I know, but what would they do against this many peo-” I heard a sound and concentrated on it. I saw it in my mind, a man holding a sniper rifle. My key blade appeared in my hand, and I kept focusing on the sound. I saw him aim for Calista, his finger tightening on the trigger, then he pulled. The bullet flew forward at high speeds, but ricochet off of my key blade, flying into the air. We jumped over the wall and watched for the assailant.

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?” Miome shouted, scared to death.

“Everyone stay back here,” I said running around the wall, “I got this one.”

“Wrong,” Roxas said following me with his two key blades, “WE’VE got this one.”

“Heh heh, right.” I said as we took off for cover behind my motorcycle.

We hid behind the Fenrir as bullets bounced off of it’s metal plating. I figured the assailant would be in the underbrush, not to far away. I looked at my key blade and figured the guy would get us if we got close. So I got a better idea. “Cover me.” I said, tossing Roxas one of my Desert Eagles. He tried to figure out how to use it, and looked up to see how I held it. He grabbed it and pointed it in the air. “How do I use it?” he said. “Aim it an pull the-” A loud crack rang out as a bullet zoomed past my head. “JESUS CHRIST, WATCH WHERE THE HELL YOUR AIMING!” I shouted as my heart skipped over a few beats. He figured out how the gun worked and then nodded to me, saying he was ready. “Let’s do it!” I yelled as I flipped over the bike and Roxas took aim.

I clapped my hands together in mid air, but caught a bullet between them, canceling the alchemic reaction. I hit the ground and clapped my hands again. But caught another bullet. I tried once more, and still caught a bullet. I tried to clap over my head, but still caught a bullet. He didn’t want me using alchemy. “TAKE THIS YOU b*****d!” I shouted, bringing my hands over my head. I was about to clap when I faked it and clapped in front of me. The alchemic reaction started, and I smashed my hands on the ground. A huge lump of earth rose and shattered the trees over some bushes.

I jumped and landed on the earth I rose, and saw a man with a sniper on his back. He had these goggles on that let him get an extra zoom on the rifle, letting him snipe a fly off of someone’s pinky finger from over a hundred feet away. I jumped off the earth and swung at him. He dodged my fists with ease. I clapped my hands together and made a spike rise up behind him, but he jumped and landed on top of it. He smiled slightly, and clapped his hands together. He touched the sleeve of his dark blue coat, and it shot out and wrapped around me. He pulled me up to him, and said to me quietly, “At the old home, you’ll find the gate. That’s why I left it there.” I struggled on his grip, “Just what the Hell are you talking about and why are you trying to kill my friends!” I barely managed to clap my hands together and made my arm into a spike. I went to stab him, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me high into the air. “Nicely done. But you’ve seen the gate then, and thus the automail. You haven’t changed son.”

I froze at the word “son”. He threw me into the earth I had risen. I hit the ground, ripping out my remaining Desert Eagle, and fired it right where he was standing. The bullet zoomed through thin air, as he had disappeared. “What…did he…he couldn’t have been…” I said, falling to the ground on my hands and knees, “…dad?”

Roxas ran over to me. “Mike, you ok!?” he shouted. “That…that was my dad.” I said as everyone ran up to me. “Wow…that’s pretty cool.” Roxas said, “But why was he shooting at us.” I dug my hands into the ground, ripping some of the soil up in my hands, “I haven’t seen him since I was nearly three.” I said, the anger flowing out of my words. “Mike…” Mayuno started. I stood up before she could finish. “Everyone, go home and meet me at my house tomorrow.” I said sternly. I looked at Roxas, “I found the gate.”
