Location: Mike’s house
Time: 11:00 A.M.
It was a nice day to kick back and relax. The cold winter day was nice…for a polar bear. It was a blizzard outside. I began to flip channels. I reached the news.
“This is Cindy Donivich reporting to you about the latest weather report. This winter storm had come up on us out of the blue is causing power outages throughout the city.”
“Well, that’s just perfect, now I can’t go to Mayuno and Miome’s house.”
“Apparently looters are running through this blizzard and taking everything they can carry as the snow beats down on them.”
Just then something pounded on my door. I jumped upright extremely fast.
“Damned looters, GO AWAY, SOMEONE LIVES HERE!”
The next time the pound had a much greater force.
“Fine, you want it to be like that, let’s dance.” My eyes flashed
I burst through the door and slammed it shut behind me as I stood in front of it to face my enemy…or in this case, enemies. It was Heartless, about twenty Shadows and ten Neo Shadows. I summoned my key blade and waited for their first move. A Neo Shadow thought it was smart and jumped at me, but I had brought my sword straight through it, disbanding it at once. That’s when they all jumped. I moved away from my house and slashed them all into oblivion. They were all gone in a moment.
“HA, that’s the best they got!?” I laughed as I put my blade over my shoulder. That’s when more came. “DAMNATION!” I shouted as I realized their numbers multiplied. I began to hack them up as fast as possible, but for every two I killed, 3 took their place. I spent a good hour trying to get rid of all of them. I began to feel fatigue.
“Damn…I don’t know how much longer I’ll last out here.” I panted out. That’s when a young boy dressed in black jumped down from a neighbor’s house and landed in the circle the Heartless made around me. His hood was up so I couldn’t see his face.
“Who are you!?” I asked, turning my blade to him. That’s when he summoned two key blades, the Oblivion and the Monochrome. “Two…key blades?”
He turned to me, “Now’s not the time!” The Heartless lunged at us, and we began to fight them. He jumped all around them, killing them with every jump and landing. I on the other hand stuck to ground kills, swinging and stabbing my sword into the ground as I punched at kicked at them, then brought my sword out of the ground for a swing attack. I turned to look at the boy and saw that Heartless were about to catch him off guard when his back was turned.
“Watch out!” I shouted as I snapped my left hand at him. Fire exploded behind him and destroyed the Heartless instantly. He threw his key blade towards me. It spun around me and killed a few Heartless behind me. We nodded at each other, thanking the other for helping, then went back into battle. A few long minutes passed. Finally, they were all destroyed.
“Gee, thanks dude.” I said to the boy, “What’s your-”
“Close the door.” he interrupted.
“name?” I spoke, finishing my sentence. “Close what door?” I said, annoyed on how he interrupted.
He whipped around to me, “The door that leads to Kingdom Hearts you dope!”
I was shocked to hear that someone I didn’t know was telling me to do something I had no idea about, “Who the hell do you think you are ordering me around!?” I shouted pointed at him.”
“I’m the one that just saved all your friends from being Heartlesses forever!”
“WHAT!? My friends were Heartless!?” I shouted at him.
“Heh, humans. If a person is a Heartless, you can turn them back by unlocking their hearts with a key blade.”
Just then three more Nobodies appeared. When they pulled their hoods down, I knew who they’re human counterparts were. Two had long brown hair, and I could only tell them apart by their eyes.
“This is Riku and Risa,” the boy said, “the Nobodies of Mayuno and Miome.” I was stunned.
The other girl seemed to be angry. She looked as though she was ready to kill. “And this is Rika, Calista’s Nobody.” He placed his hand on her shoulder and she slapped it off immediately, “She’s kind of hot headed.”
I stood there in disbelief. I couldn’t check on my friends in this weather because I could barely look at my hand in front of my face. How did the Heartless get to them, but then again, how did these “Nobodies” get to them as well.
“Let’s go.” the boy said. The rest of them walked away as the boy turned. “Oh, and I’m Roxas, your Nobody.” He pulled his hood down and had hair like the actual Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 2. “Don’t forget, if you don’t close that door, this place is going to be flooded by Heartless.”
“But-” I went to grab him but he walked through a portal of darkness and disappeared. “-where’s the door?” I finished to myself. I summoned the key blade into my hand. “(This damned thing,)” I thought, “(why am I supposed to have it. Why couldn’t someone stronger or braver take it. I mean, I’m a kid,)” I grabbed my automail arm “(and not a bright one at that.)” I thought for a few moments. “(Then again, I am thinking about taking out the leader of the most powerful vampire occult in all of Gaia which happens to be my own mother. And I’m trying to find a way to get my body back to normal without hurting anyone.)” I began to laugh “This shouldn’t be too hard, all I gotta do is find the keyhole!” I shouted.
Then the blizzard picked up. I ran inside and took my coat off. I grabbed a soda and opened it, but it fizzed out and landed on my right hand. I went to lick off the soda when my tongue got stuck. “WHA!” I tried to shout, but when I moved my hand farther away from my mouth, my tongue went with it. “YAAH!” I yelled in pain. Tongue was frozen to my automail. I needed help. I dialed Mayuno’s phone number.
“Hello,” she answered, “who is this?”
“Ith’s Miahke,” I replied, “mai tounge iz fozen to mai wite hand,”
“What?” she replied, “I can’t understand a word you’re saying?”
“MAI TOUNGE IZ FOZEN TO MAI WITE HAND!” I screamed into the receiver. I heard her quietly laughing and talking to someone, then a laugh from the other person followed by giggles. It was probably Miome.
“Oh *snicker* ok, we’ll be *snicker* right there.” Right before she hung up I swore I heard them laugh loudly.
After a few minutes there was a knock on the door. When I opened it there was a bright flash and I fell onto my back, my arm yanking my tongue out of my mouth. I grabbed my arm to keep it steady as my tongue throbbed in pain. I looked up to see Mayuno and Miome laughing. Mayuno held a camera in her hand.
“Sorry,” she said with a grin the size of an ocean, “but I had to get a picture with you…tongue stuck TO YOUR HAND!” They both began laughing. I went to talk but Miome put her hand to my face. “Don’t talk, you might rip you tongue out.”
“(If I don’t rip my own tongue out, you guys will.)” I thought.
“We were gonna call Trowa, but he smells like cat when he gets wet. Now let me take a look at you.” They began looking at my tongue and hand. I wondered what they were doing. They walked away and began talking. I saw Miome’s eye flash at me, and I got scared. What were they going to do to me. Were they going to chop my tongue off, or take my arm apart. The arm was a one of a kind thing, so I didn’t want them to do that, but I also wanted to be able to taste food and talk.
“Ok now Mike, hold still.” Mayuno said. She grabbed my wrist and put her other hand on my forehead. Miome grabbed my fingers and put her other hand on my chin. What were they doing.
They talked in synchronization, “One…”
“(What could they be doing?)”
“Two…”
“(…Uh oh…NO!)”
“THREE!”
They each pushed my head back and pulled my arm forward. I felt my tongue go with my arm and then snap back into my mouth. Pain shot up to my head and then slowly made it’s way down to my toes.
“ARE YOU GUYS NUTS!?” I shouted at them, a big part of m tongue showing a bright red mark.
“You said you wanted our help,” Mayuno said, “and we did! We got your tongue off your arm!”
“YOU RIPPED OFF HALF OF MY TASTE BUDS!”
“But we saved your tongue and arm.” Miome said.
I went to rinse my tongue in the sink with slow flowing warm water. That’s when Mayuno suggested something. “I heard hot works better.” she said as she turned the hot water all the way up. Water shot out of the faucet and onto my tongue. Steaming water.
“YEOW!” I yipped as I ripped my face out of the sink. I grabbed my tongue with my left hand, feeling the hotness on my hand.
“Well, gotta run,” Mayuno said. “Bye.” they said as they walked out of the door. I was both happy and sad. Happy because now they couldn’t destroy my tongue, but sad because I didn’t get to “repay” their “nice” efforts.
I was trying to find something on T.V. My stomach growled. I had tried to eat a few minutes earlier. Chips, the salt burned. Soda, the carbonation burned. Everything burned. I sad there, slumped forward, dying of hunger.
“Either I’ll die of boredom or of starvation.” I said to myself.
I walked into my bedroom and opened my closet. I pulled out a pad of blank paper and began drawing transmutation circles. I kept them stocked for Miome and Mayuno. Calista could handle anything by herself, and Trowa had his own symbols on his wristband. While I was drawing I kept thinking about what Roxas said. I had to find the door and close it, but did that mean that this world was connected to Kingdom Hearts? But that’s impossible, Kingdom Hearts doesn’t really- but then again if it didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be Heartless running around. And why did Roxas want me to close the door. Maybe things that are in that world aren’t supposed to exist in ours, like Nobodies and Heartless…and the key blade. I was almost done drawing when I fell to sleep.

The cold silence of space only punctuates the feeling of death that emanates from this virtuously lifeless planet.
Only one thing is alive and well here...evil. And it must be destroyed, decimated, exterminated.
But first, it must be found...
