Okay, this fun fact will give you the information that will help you live life to the fullest. I am going to give you tips on how to be happier curtiousy of my psychology textbook.
HOW TO BE HAPPIER
1. Realize that enduring happiness doesn't come from finanicial success.
People adapt to change -including wealth and disability. Wealth is just like health. Meaning that a lack of wealth causes misery, but having it does not guarantee happiness.
2. Take control of your time
You need to feel like you're in control of your life, this is helped if you can control your use of time. You can set better goals and break them into daily aims. People tend to overestimate what they can do in a day causing frustration, but they also underestimate what they can acomplish in a year.
3. Act happy
We can act oursives into a frame of mind. By smiling one feels better, but when they frown, the world frowns back. So act happy and optamistic. 'Going through the motions can trigger the emotions'
4. Seek work and leisure that engages your skills
Happy people are in a 'flow' zone. They do taks challenge them, without it being too much. Even your relaxing time sould be something more than just sitting watching TV, try doing something fun, that uses something you like. Gardening, crafts, or even just socializing.
5. Join the 'movement' movement
Aerobic exercise promotes health and energy and heals depression and anxiety. So get out there and do some jumping jacks!!
6. Give your body the sleep it wants
Happy people haveactive lives, but still get the needed amount of sleep. The majority of people have a sleep debt, meaning they don't get anough sleep (AP students know how that feels). A sleep debt cuases fatigue, lower alertness, and gloomy moods. So take a break from your english homework and take a nap!!
7. Give priority to close relationships
Intimate friendships can help you get though difficult times. Talking to someone is goor for the soul and body. Don't take those close to for granted, nurish those relationships that mean the most to you.
8. Focus beyond slef
Reach out to those in need. Happiness increases helpfulness. And doing good makes you feel good.
9. Be grateful
Take time out of your day to reflect on positive parts of your life like your health, friends, family, freedom, educations, senses, or your surroundings. People who take the time to do this experience heightened well-being.
10. Nurture your spiritual self
For many people faith provides a support community, a reason to focus beyond self and a sense of purpose and hope. People active in faith communities tend to be happier and cope better in a time of crisis
