Three years have passed since the king has died, and his son, Prince Angelo, has taken over. He is 17, with long black hair. He never liked that gay puffy-pants,prince style crap,so he normally wears a red travel jacket,a black under shirt,a pair of black pants, boots,and his sword. He spends his day sitting in the throne room waiting for something to happen. He was about to fall asleep when the royal messenger ran into the room.
''Your majesty!'' the messenger said, snapping the prince back from his dreams,''Something happening near the southern border.''
''What is it ?''Angelo asked, having a good feeling that this could be the start of an adventure.
''One of the villages has been burned down and all of the villagers were killed,'' the messenger paused,''by weapons.'' Angelo was shocked.
''Get me commander Alexander.''Angelo said,a stern look on his face. With that,the messenger left to get the commander.''Hey,'' Angelo called after the messenger,''and inform him of the situation.''The messenger nodded and ran out. Angelo waited a few minutes for the commander.
''Prince,'' said Alexander,as he walked into the throne room,'' the messenger told me the situation. What are we going to do?'' Angelo took a moment to think,what could they do?
'' We need to investigate,''said Angelo,standing up and walking up to the window,''a group of soldiers and I will travel to the border to look around and help rebuild the town.''
''My lord,you can't go to the border. Who will look over the kingdom while you're away?'' said Alexander, shocked by the prince's decision.
''I was getting to that,''Angelo said,turning around ,and waiting for Alexander to calm down,''I'm putting you in charge until I get back.''
''Are...are you sure that is the right thing to do,''said the commander,''I mean, going to the border town?''
Angelo sighed,''Alexander, you raised me when my father died, and I respect your judgment as an elder, but I done nothing but sit in this room and give orders since I turned fifteen. I won't stay and rot here, I'm going to South Border Town, so gather up a group of soldiers and tell them to prepare for the trip,and be at the city gates by dawn.''Alexander nodded and walked out. Angelo followed after and went into his bed chamber. He prepared himself for the journey
and went to sleep.

Angelo rubbed his eyes as he walked through the streets on his way to the city gates. He arrived just before dawn and waited for the soldiers. He was there about thirty second when they arrived.
''My lord,Prince Angelo, did we keep you waiting?''said the first of the three soldiers,his name is Valden, the second one's name is Dussel, and the third one's name is Gordon.
''No,no,you're right on time,'' said Angelo, noticing a problem,''but, you can't travel to South Border Town in your soldier armor, it's too suspicious.''they obeyed,and removed their armor. Once they were totally ready, they left the city.
They were walking on a dirt road, a good distance away from the gate. Angelo,was walking off the road,in the field. Gordon and Valden were walking in a strait line,as they do in the army,and Dussel, was walking in front of them, minding his own business.
''hey,Dussel,''Angelo called,running up beside him,''did you fight in the demon war?''Dussel nodded.''Really!? Did you fight with my father?''he asked,making Dussel look at him for the first time since they left the city.
''Yes,I did. The battle was horrid,and many were killed. I survived, with the help of this,''Dussel said,indicating the spear on his back,'' with this, i killed many demons,but i was still wounded, and scarred.'' He rolled up his sleeve to reveal a imprint of a skull and crossbones with a crown and demon wings.
''The demon king's seal, used to mark the people who are captured. So that means...that you escaped?'' Dussel rolled his sleeve back down and nodded. He took a few steps and looked to the forest across from the field. He turned and closed his eyes and listened.
''Prince, prepare yourself,''Dussel said, unlatching his spear and backing up to the field, pointing the spear at the forest.
'' What is it, Dussel?'' asked Valden, as he,Gordon,and Angelo unsheathed their swords. Just then,a gang of bandits jumped out of the forest. There were five of them,and they all had either a ax or hammer.
'' Oy',if 'ya know what's good for 'yens, drop the goods 'en get the 'ell out of 'ere.'' said one of the bandits. Angelo didn't know what to do. They were ambushed.
