I'm bored once more. For some, boredom leads to creativity and new arts are created. The fools! For me, it means a new journal entry.
Which reminds me, it feels weird... I don't remember how long it's been since I last wrote one of these (I could check but I'm too lazy. Knowing it was before Halloween is good enough for me).
So... I guess I shall begin with Halloween. It was terrible. I was dressed as a black cat (which everyone kept saying was weird to look at considering I have dirty-blonde hair), but my ears were wrong, and it was nice for a while but... Yeah...
Everyone kept asking me if I was a mouse and some jerk in Japanese pulled my tail off. On top of that a bunch of people just being mean...
And then I had to go to a church function. Where it was cold. REALLY cold. Most of the kids were their usual bratty selves, and the food was all junk-food (the non-candy food I mean). THEN I had to go home and finish all my homework, including a study-guide for World History. Not fun. At all.
Nichi's costume was cool, though. And the person next to us at said Church event had penguin plushies! 4laugh
In better news, I've rediscovered Serial Experiments Lain. I saw several episodes many many years ago late at night while setting up for a LARPing event (they showed a marathon of the entire series on TechTV or something), and was instantly hooked. However, I lost it after that until a few weeks ago. Now I've been hooked all over again. And the opening song! 4laugh I had forgotten it's awesomeness for so long! However, it's brought some... side-effects...
The most obvious one of course is depression, but I periodically experience that for no reason anyway (usually after sixth period). Apparently though the problem is a bit bigger than I'd thought. Both Nichi and Future-World-Empress have complained about me watching too much of it. According to both of them I'm to be restricted from Lain for extended periods between watching each episode. Ha! Yeah, I can see that happening. They've also commented on the possibility of P.E. being very bad for me because I was depressed all day afterwards.
And speaking of being depressed, apparently my pumplin carving of Linear made my English teacher's eight-year-old daughter cry just by looking at it. eek
I don't know how, I don't know why, but apparently it did...
That's pretty much all I can think of right now, so if you'll excuse me I need to get back to attempting to encode my consciousness into the Wired. Oyasumi Nasai!
