Boredom's a b***h, and apparently loves me. 'Nother story entry. Comment or PM me if you feel like it. --------------------------------- "Josie, let's go!" Josie groaned and took off down the stairs, her locker slamming shut on its own as she left. Raz sounded angry. Again. Every damn day that girl got angry over something, and every damn day Josie had to have her ear talked off on the bus. She hated it. But at least her sister didn't throw fireballs everywhere like she does at home. Her blue flats hit the floor andf she slid, far, then slammed right into her raven-haired sibling and they both hit the floor at the same time. The lobby erupted in laughter and Josie felt her face start burning as she gathered her books up again while Raz mumbled something in the Celtic language she knew. Being kultzy had its bad moments.
"I think you might have dropped this, demon." Josie's indigo eyes flashed up to land on the face of someone who had torn her in two, nearly literally. Syrus stared back, his icey blue eyes impassionate to her predicament as he held out a small black book. Syrus DeBarous, the one man she didn't want to see that day. Josie's eyes gave him a glare as she disentangled her limbs from Raz's.
"I'm only half demon, Syrus. You should know that by now. Give me that." She swiped the book from his hand and stood, glare still in place. Behind her, Raz allowed others to help her up as she rubbed at her head. Syrus made a small noise then turned and walked off, his group of followers right behind him. Josie watched him walk off and shook her head, wondering how he had changed so quickly in the last few years. He had once been her friend, her crush even, then all of the sudden he was torturing her like everyone else had when learning she was half demon. Raz had stuck up for her, but in the end, it had been for naught. Josie sighed and crouched to gather her books together, her mind still on Syrus.
"Oh, if I had been standing he'd be running for the hills by now. Damn magic user messing with you. They all should know by now that messing you means being torched." Raz was talking again, saying how she would have pounded Syrus if he had stayed any longer. Josie rolled her indigo eyes then grabbed her sister by the wrist and pulled her to the bus. Ignoring the threats and whines, she got them into a seat at the back just before the bus pulled off.
"Next time we run before you flap you jaw." Raz made a face at Josie then turned away, chatting about something that happened in gym class with Anne and Stacy. Josie leaned her forehead against the window and watched as rain clouds started building, cutting off the sunlight. She and her sister were going to get drenched on the way home from the bus stop. Her mind went back to the red locks and icey blue eyes of Syrus again and she sighed, wishing he had never found out about her being a half demon. --------------------- Not my best, but boredom was cut off some bloodflow to my brain and I have writer's block. Gimme a break.
