I finally finished that book!! x3 My school librarian will be so happy once he finds out, I'm sure. Once again, he gave me a book which he knew I'd like - it's such a touching book! Deals with the end of the world, told from the eyes of a teenager - if you have the chance, read it. Written by Susan Pfeffer, but it's not the list of my top books. I've read too many books in my life to know that there are a lot more books out there better than that, but I do like the style on how Pfeffer wrote the book - it's set out with diary entries, so you get attatched to the main character, Miranda, well enough. ^^
It's a rather empty day today and surprisingly enough, our family was invited to dinner by an old friend (since we came to the UK). The family that invited us was the one which provided us a home until we could find our own house three years ago (it's one of the thing Malaysians here need to do - provide homes to those from Malaysia until they could find their own, help them settle in, etc.). Anyway, they're going back soon.. so it's pretty sad to see them leave, but I wasn't really that close to them myself - I was actually really close to their servant who left earlier during the day to Indonesia. Yesterday, I remember approaching her about it and I squeezed her hand, wanting to know how she felt about it, but I could see that she didn't want to talk about it so I dropped the matter. I think she actually avoided me up to a degree, but now she's gone and I doubt that I'll see her again. But well, I hope she has a safe journey back and once she gets there, she'll meet up with her son and everything will be fine.
I attacked another toddler today. XD And I believe that she's around five months or so - perhaps even less, I can't be sure, but she's really small and light. She has the most adorable face ever and her brother who's two years old also has one of the most charming faces I've seen. For a male. @@ Ever!! He's so cute! They're both cute, but I held the sister more - Rafia, her name is. At first, she played around with my fingers and tried to shake my hand, but occasionally, I pull away before she could grab it and tapped her nose. x3 It was brilliant. I held her for quite a while, pressing her against my chest as I walked around because she wanted to sleep - I could see that she needed sleep. In the end, she only clung to me and when her mother wanted to take her away, she actually cried. XP I got teased by the rest then as they said that I must've done something to Rafia to make her decline her own mother, but all went well. :3
I was actually really tired. ._. By 8:40, I went to my dad and asked him to take me home but he told me to wait for ten minutes or so and I ended up waiting for half an hour - typical of my dad. He's so bad with timings. >_> He wanted to stay longer and I was almost begging him to take me home and even mom saw that I really wasn't kidding. >< I ended up having a ride home with one of my mom's friend and I felt so relieved being back home. I'm just so tired. Hopefully, school tomorrow won't make me faint or anything, but at least we're going to finish 45 minutes early.
