What a world we share, what a way to grow up,

al the wars and the poverty its becoming too much.

I fear for my children and there children too
what a sad world we live in, but what can we do?

i truely believe that with violence comes fear,
people are afraid of people, it brings me to tears.

An innocent man will shoot into darkness,
and out of fear , another inocent man is laid to rest.

So much hatred and sadness only caused by this fighting,
theres so much of it around, it makes me start writing.

so much illness and sadness, and heartbreaking poverty
all the mean while we all sit here and say well whos going to fix i can't no not me!

Well i have theory, a hope if i dare
that every day each of us show one person we care.

Out of your entire day oh so long they do seem
find a perfect stranger who seems they're in need.

If they simply drop something pick it up and help them out
if somebody forgets thier wallet give it back to them without taking the money out.

If someone is carrying a heavy armfull of stuff
open a door for them so that thier day isnt so tough.

If you se someone sitting near you or walking by,
give them a smile and a nod, even if the way they look makes you terrified!

The homeless people who ask for your money,
give them your pennies or nickels so that they can eat.

I truely believe by showing kindness to one person a day
will follow down a trail, of some peace in a way.

When your having a bad day and someone shows kindness
dont you feel happier, like youre in a better mood or like you got a bit more rest?

so if everyone shows empathy and kindness alike
i truely believe that our childrens future isnt in such a horrifying light.
