Walking over tall grass in thick black boots was not how I planned my day to go. Yes I have always wanted to join in a Battle guild but seeing as I'm a girl did anyone think that would happen? not likely. Anyways i'm getting ahead of myself. Let me start at the begining. I was down in the training room when I realized the time. It was 3:00. I was always responsable for the daily mail route pick up but today I was hoping someone else would get it. "Stelluna!!" Guess not. I huffed trudging up the stairs and wished there was a way I would never have to walk up them again... training was my life. I walk out the huge wooden door and walk into the bright light of the afternoon. (Ahhhh! It burns!!!) I squint my eyes so much I can barley see the stone path in front of me. I bend to pick up the mail when I see it. A scroll. Thats when it hit me. The Battle Guild!! I practically ran inside and downstairs again leaning against my door so no one could enter. I slowly pulled the ribbion off as if the parchment in my hands was so fragile that it would turn to dust in my slight grasp. I read as follows : Dear Trenor, (My Dad) We regret to say that you are once again needed for battle. We know you have been in retirement for quite some time but we would not call on you if it were not nessicary. We would like to say that if you are unable or unwilling you may send someone else in your sted. We are honored to work with you,

This note was my calling. *** "Father please! You are much to weary to carry on this burden!!" I begged. "Stelluna you are my daughter and I will not allow it!" My father spoke in disagrement. " Is it because i'm a woman father? Do you think i'm not strong enough to handle this challenge that has come? Am I not surely stronger than you, a 70 year old man who can barely walk?" I Plead at his feet. " It is not that I do not hold faith for you it is that the Guild would not hold faith for you." He answered simply. " I will prove them wrong father!" I Growled though I Knew I was losing the fight. " I know you will." He said and as the smile rose on my face he opened his arms to me. " Make me proud." He whispered as he held me close. " Father I would never fail you." I whispered back. And I wouldn't.
