School got back in on Wednesday and it started snowing on Thursday. Guess who got a snow day Friday?
Well... more like slush day. stare
Either way, it got my friend Michelle and I out of school for yet another day. She invited me over to her house to get snowed in and we watched The Orphan. Scary stuff man. Midgets and whatnot.
We stayed up until 3 in the morning. You know how if you stay awake too long, you start to get that "under the influence" feeling? Man. We were out of our minds. We just could NOT stop laughing. I got video of it too. Links to be posted soon biggrin
The next day we woke up and I made pancakes for breakfast. After watching some more television (god I never watch this much tv) Michelle got a phone call from her brother. He asked us to bundle up and come down to the swamp.
The swamp was completely frozen over. That is a big deal where I live, my friends. We hardly ever get snow, much less get a chance to ice skate. And ice skate we did... except, it was on our boots... red neck style. biggrin
After doing that for a while and the ice started cracking we got off and headed to Mark's chicken pin to check on their water and junk. One of his silkys was sick so I was holding it and petting it when I took a step backward.
Ugh. A nail went straight through my boot and my foot. A rusty, dirty nail. I don't think I've ever said '********' so many times in my life. Mark and Michelle helped me back up to the house and nursed me up with some hot water, peroxide and iodine. I called my mom and asked if I had a tetnus shot recently. She said it was just under a year ago.
Tetnus shots last ten years.
THAT calls for a celebratory cigarette.
