You enter a small boutique in Tokyo, looking for whatever; an expensive little something for your sweetheart back home. In the shop, there are the usual fashionistas of any metropolitan city, and then your eyes, which have been scanning the racks, fall upon a short, lean girl of 15 or so. She's friendly, interesting and funny...but the more you talk to her, the more you realize something is...well...off. She doesn't smile with her eyes, which seem to stare through you. The girl seems to tense and size up people who pass and you could swear she's positioning herself where she can see her surroundings and make the most of her environment. Eventually you leave, having found the gift...and that girl? She fades from your memory like an odd dream as soon as your foot's out the door. Congratulations, you've met Akiko Negami.
Akiko was born as a still birth in Sapporo to families which have been entwined with the lore and legends of ninja since the beginning. At age 15, Aki moved to the United States with her family when her parents were contracted to perform corporate espionage on the WhiteGreen Company. In reality, the company was experimenting on Scions and trying to create private armies of Scions for the highest bidder. She has fought valiantly by the sides of her companions since her visitation, although she took some time to warm up to them. Physically, Akiko is 5 feet tall and 100lbs of muscle (she has something of a gymnast's build). Her hair is shoulder length and as black as the shadows of a moonless midnight, although she lets it grow; eventually, when she becomes a goddess, it's long enough to cover her rear. Her eyes are steely, like a black-matte machete, and she's not prone to being overly expressive with her features, which are as sharp and crisp as the lines from a quill. But it's not to say she's not devoid of emotion a la Ayanami Rei (NGE) or Nagato Yuki (Haruhi Suzumiya). She's also something of a shop-a-holic, and she loves to cook."

Optional Items: The Bat Barrette grows into a naginata/guan-dao-like pole arm; Tama the Inugami (Tama himself is a russet shiba-inu with the wild look of a panicking dog); Akiko also has the unique talent of hiding an unknown number of small throwing knives on her person...it's never fully revealed how many she has, where she gets them from...and where they're hidden.
Wardrobe: Outside of her school uniform, Akiko is comfortable in almost any mode of dress, from skinny-jeans and Uggs to comfy cargo shorts and a tanktop or even a breezy, pastel sundress.
