I don't remember the beginning of this dream. All I remember is from the point of being in the car with my best friend and her sister. We were on our way to the store. I will take note that it was an oddly long drive, and for a while it was dark outside... Anyway, we got to the store and some such stuff was going on. A bunch of people were gathered for something, and my mom was there, being more of a crazy menopausal woman than usual. It was.. disturbing. At one point I saw a little(it was like.. the length of my wrist to the tip of my middle finger, maybe) raccoon outside and called over my friend. It was right outside the large window. I put my finger up to the window and the raccoon made an attempt to bite me, even though there was glass in the way. I decided to move away from there. I talked to my best friend and looked around and stuff, as more people were gathering in the greeting area of the store. And then the stupid raccoon came in the store and came after me! It was trying to bite me! I kicked it, shoved it, and even managed to grab it by the scruff of the neck and throw it out of the store, and it still came back at me. It even started jumping towards me. I climbed up onto a piece of furniture in the corner, and it jumped higher. I managed to climb(or something) quite high into that corner, AND THE STUPID RACCOON KEPT JUMPING HIGHER AND HIGHER. In my dream, I was aware of the fact that this resembled one of my other dreams. (See 9/16/10 for said dream reference.) Suddenly, everyone got very excited and all gathered around one specific area, and whatever strange event this was, it was about to happen. It was a mass ascension of souls to Heaven from the area of our city. There was a sort of stream of mist and little glowing beads of light floating from the ground up to an opening in the ceiling. It was a beautiful sight, actually. I couldn't believe my eyes, and how lucky I was to see this. I also grabbed the stupid raccoon, which may have turned into a small dog at that point, and stuck it into the stream of souls. Its own life floated out of its body, and the body sort of became transparent and floated up with the souls. And then it was over, but for every soul that had ascended, an angel's wing feather fell to Earth. Before long, the place was cleared out, but there was some computer thing that documented ascended souls. I went over to it to see just how many people had gathered, and when I touched it, it showed me a live update. There was a name for every soul, and as I looked at the screen it showed "Trevor".
I immediately thought of my friend Trevor that's recently gone into the air force, and it woke me up. The thought scared me, I will admit. I realize that I honestly shouldn't have much to worry about, because he's only in basic training, but he's a very close friend. That kind of dream just scares a person a bit.

The Mind
Mainly a record of my more interesting dreams that I was able to remember after waking up. (Apparently my uncontrollable confessions, as well. In the form of poetry. All to the same man.)
If the boy who draws
lets you look over his shoulder.
If the poet
smiles
and shows you her words.
If the girl who sings for the shower only,
hums a song
in front of you.
Know that you’re no longer a person
but the air
and dust
that fills their lungs.
When the world perishes,
and all things cease to exist,
you’ll remain inside an ink stain,
a paint brush,
a song.
