Man, my wierd day, just kept on going on and on and on, and I think it's carried over into today, maybe a little downgraded, but still. It's not even noon and I've already had a wierd moment. I was watching the news today and, aside from the John Benet Ramses story and the new tropical storm out there, that may hit Luisiana, disapproval over the president, and such, they had a story buried in there, in the ticker, that said China is having problems with people hiring strippers for funerals so that the turnout will be higher. And it get's better. The reason that they give for that perversion is that a higher turn out brings more honor to the deceased. Yeah, and then the striptease take it away, what's your point. I found that absolutely disgusting. I mean, at a Christian funeral, you're considered a disgrace if you wear anything other than a floor length black frock. If you don't look like the widow herself, you're a whore. But, could you imagine going to your brother's or father's funeral, and you see some girl doing a pole dance, lifting her legs, squeezing her boobs right next to the casket. Her moans aren't those of distress. I would just ******** die. burning_eyes I would be mad. And to know that someone dropped money for that girl to be there. I quote my mom in saying 'Free food isn't enough?'. She was appalled too. But anyway, back to yesterday. I had two more wierd moments, after I finished my entry. One involving Gaia. I got really adventurous, which was a mistake, and I decided, to check out some of the forums. I clicked on the GD forum first, because it seemed the most innoscent. But boy did I get an earful when I went. I said that I was getting too old to be a newbie and wanted to strike out on my own, and wondered if there were any nice people in that forum. I got like 8 responses in like the first 30 sec. All of them said no there weren't any nice people in that chat. There were two nice people who posted. One sent me to a place where he thought I could find some nice people, and the other actually sent me a friend invite and offered me gold. They both kinda said they were on there for shits and giggles, and weren't really mean, but I guess a lot of people who hang out in forums are assholes. I wish somebody had told me that before I made an a** out of myself. redface . Oh well, I should have asked. But I figured people were at least mildly friendly because they plug it on the Gaia tour. But it was kinda like a local pointing a tourist to the grungiest bar in town when they ask what's there to do for fun around here. It's borderlined mean. I could imagine me going there on my first day, thinking, hey, I wanna meet people. I would log on, get that response and then never sign back on again. I would have been so unhappy with BK, instead of being addicted like I am now. I don't know which is worse. But anyway, one last thing happened yesterday that was wickedly wierd. I was talking to one of my friends on the phone last night and he said that he just found out one of his old neighbors was arrested as a child molestor, who was meeting girls through My Space! Holy s**t. I mean, you never, ever realize how small a world this is, and you never realize how sick the people you know can be. I'm amazed. I mean, I feel like I was his neighbor, as close as I am to my friend. I mean, his neighbor really isn't all that old, my friend would have had nothing to worry about, but, their families were kinda close. It would creep me out. I would feel I couldn't trust anyone. And I'm definitely not going on My Space, minor or not. There are so many creeps on the internet. Well, I gotta go, bye.
