By the time I convinced Henry that I was alright; he had quite forgotten why he'd come to see me, and I needed to make haste unless I wanted to be late. A job was still a job after all. I'm afraid that I didn't pay as much attention as I should have, since the face of Edward's attacker kept floating up before me. By the time I returned to my lodgings I was sure that half of what I remembered was just my own fancy, providing details that I had missed.
