"Star I will tell you what happened now", my new resolve had silenced her imediatly so she sat down and waited. I dreaded telling star but i knew I had to, I pray she will not hate me for this truth. "Star I am part water elf and that is why water attacked my father"
"What!?! You are Part Water Elf! No you can't, You are nothing like them Kat!" she jumped up and yelled
"Please you must be descret, I gave my word I would tell only you." after that she settled down I told her what father had told me and of our bargin, when i finished she only staried stare
"what will you do, Kat?"
"I will learn what I can from this", I said and held up the journal." if I can figure out how to open it, that is why father was here."
"Why tell me then? what can I do"
"If I get injured or need help I trust you to help me , I know you can. Plus I could use a friend."
"Fine, I will be here, now lets get this book open."
"you mean that is it just like that you will help me?" At that moment I counted myself luck to have her friendship.
"Kat, you should know, I wouldn't blame you for my family's death, just because of you blood. You were not the elf responsable for that. You were always there for me the least I could do is be there for you."

"okay then the book...I couldn't figure out how to open it, father said I would know what to do. I bearly remember my mother."
"Well when you think of her what comes to mind...Kat?"
"Not alot..a blerry image.... her love... the song she use to sing to me when it was time for me to sleep..."
"Maybe that is it, Water elves are kinda like sirens they can sing beautiful maybe it is a song lock", Star informed me.

"That was beautiful, Kat, I swear your voice has even changed but it is a good change, before you couldn't carrie a toon in a bucket," said a very amused Star.

At that moment the lock clicked and the book opened and we both looked down there on the first page was a message from my mom, I couldn't hold back the tears like I did when I sang the song. crying
The message read:

I know it is tempting to learn for there power is great but every great power comes with a price, one I never what you to pay for that is exactly what they will want of you. Inclosed in this book is all you will need to know, and tips for how to say hidden. please learn everything and memerize this book, learn each lesson perfectly and then proceed to the next do not proceed before you are ready or anything you try will backfire at you. To anyone else without water elf blood this book will seem like nothing important but to one of our kind it could spell disaster so you must destroy it or seal it back with the same song you used to open it.
Please don't take this book lightly you must not allow anyone else to read or try these secrets. I wish you didn't have to bear this great burrden alone but know I will always be with you in your heart and in this book.
I brushed the words written by my mother's hand, how I missed her, I had to do this so i collected my thoughts and set them aside I have to learn this. And from that moment the Training begain, little did I know who hard and tedious the training would be. I had so much to learn.
