As the weeks went by I poceeded quickly and flew threw the basics and even the fine tuning the magic. then I hit lesson 10 the transfremation. apperently there was another form that water elves can take but it must be done correctly or else you could end up hurting yourself or worse if you do change you may not be able to change back. so far all my attempts to change had ended in brused limbs and a migrane the size of our kingdom. I desided that it was time for a break for the day, just as Star came in the inner swimming chamber with lunch.
"How goes the training today", Star asked fansinated.
"Well I have read this lesson page to page and read all the tips but haven't been able to get it, however I was really worried when i ended up with scales everywhere instead of skin. thank God that you knew how to fix that and for your healing when I broke my leg, I wish I understood this."
"May I see what your mothers instructions say? I know you have been hesatint but I assure you I will only see this lesson and I will attempt nothing.;" Star explained, what could it hurt she helped heal me and figured out how to open it, even helped me find my center. I also remembered how she showed me how to exicute lesson 7, which was a way to shrink the book down and make it in to a rose tatoo so i could wear it and no one would know.
"Fine but please don't try it okay I know you are always trying transforming into different cratures, but this is a form not crature okay."
"I my word I will not or mylife forfit", with that promise Star made I handed her the book. "well it says you must clear you mind and picture the form in your mind, but what form, the page has nothing."
"yeah I know, how can I picture a Form if there isn't a referance idea", I said just as confused.
"wait there is something her say this phrase Kat," she said pointing to what she asked me to say. The minute that I said the words an image jumped out of the book and displayed in front of us. It looked like a mermaid ish looking creature but had dark eyes and webed hands and ears. then there was another phase that "do not doubt the change but let your body go and take hold of this form in your head, be by water to carry the rest, when you wish to be your true form reture do not doubt take hold of what you are in your mind and true form you will become doubt yourself at all and this water elf form will be yours forevermore."
"This must be the image you are suppost to picture, though it looks kinda scary Kat."
"well it says if I don't do it right I will be stuck in that form forever and if I don't do it, it will happen on the full moon when the sea levels rise hight tied when the moon is in the middle of the sky, it says I will change not matter what my first time and until I do it sucessfully. I can't afford to not control when this happens! I better get this right."
"Wait Kat, it says that you will have a agressive nature and you will...", she paused
"Will what?" I asked afraid to ask.
"Well, it says this is a siren form and that you will be overcome with the desire to call men to you and ...well you know and steel there life from them after."
"great anything else ...okay don't allow the nature to control me, so this is why father didn't want to be around me. okay when I change, I want you to put a invisible barrior around me so incase I can't control myself you will not be affected and song barrior so my voice will not carry past you, can't be drawing men here."
"Done and done ready for you to try cause the full moon thing is 2 days from now right after the ball your father changed the date once because of this he will not be able to change it again the Prince is already angery he hasn't seen you yet."
"yeah don't remind me...okay Focus," I told myself over and over as I pictured the image in my mind as I allowed my body to change and tryed to control my emotions all at the same time, it was really hard when I felt myself being pulled back in my mind. First nothing happened but then I felt really funny, then the cracking and popping of my bones there was a cool feeling in my belley as my legs come togerer and formed the tail, my hands itched as webing formed there and on my
ears. My hear got so thick it came undune and grew very long and became black as night as my eyes puples extended you till everything was back in my eyes. I was also nacked and I realized I couldn't breath very well.
I jumped into the water and felt so alive when the water hit my tail. I was also hungery but, not for fish or for any food given to me. It was shocking to realize how much I wanted to get with someone, I mean I had always been courious about "the union" but I never felt strongly toward any men around or pinces my father invited to the place. Now however I was ready to give it a chance and saw the charms I could easily do to get the job done right. Then my thoughts were interupted.
"Katheren is that you? wow you look different, if I hadn't seen you change I wouldn't believe it was you." Star was wide eyed and amazed and keep asking questions
"ST A R, Ple ase St..op ", I managed to say our language was harder in this form, so I tried our telepathic link we had since we were kids, praying it would work (Star, look it is hard to talk in this form and I am really overcome with the emotions now, let me get take this all in and see if i can swim okay I am really fighting the need factor so don't say anything for a while okay we will talk but not now.) she must have saw the strain on my face
